As far as being an Amsoil dealer yes I am. But you didn't see me spewing my dealer number. The only kick back I get is the difference between wholesale price and suggested retail price, unless I sign up someone under me as a dealer. If anyone wants to debate the quality of Amsoil or has questions they can contact me privately. To berry1234. Mobile 1 is a good product, and using any synthetic is better than not. As for having the oil cause you a problem after being told it is ok to use longer, following analysis. That is where Amsoil's warranty covers the gap that other companies do not. You will be out of luck using other oils for that reason. Once again visit the Amsoil web site. There is a wealth of info and comparison studies on motorcycle oils and synthetic gear lubes. As for availability. Check your yellow pages for an independant dealer in your area. Some carry an extensive selection of product. The good news is you can order directly from the Web site. It usually is delivered in less than a week, business days. Contact me I will help anyone out.

An oil warranty on paper is probably all that it is. I really doubt Amsoil would pony up the money if my engine ceased and ford declined to cover it under the factory warranty because they claim my overextended amsoil oil caused the problem. I have copied the warranty below. I see many problems with it, but will only go into one, particularly the part that states "the warranty may not be extended to cover: ....or equipment modification done without written authorization from the Original Equipment Manufacturer."

Through just that one statement they could weasle out of the warranty claim and thats not even all of the loopholes that are in the warranty.

I attempted to put the warranty on here to clarify, but it was too long and had too many characters. so here is the link instead

I would like to hear from someone who has had Amsoil, or any other company pay to replace their engine that failed due to oil failure. I bet there is not one.

Your are correct. Amsoil will not fail. I have been using Amsoil since 1982 and have always used the 25,000 miles or 1 year intervals and have never had a problem with my vehicles. That includes older engines like 1967 Mustang and 1969 Bronco and believe me, I didn't treat them nicely. I was 18. Amsoil has been using the 25,000 mile or 1 year interval for 35 years and I would venture to say that they have never had their oil be the cause of a catastrophic failure of an engine. If there is scepticism in everyone maybe someone should do some research on Amsoil and look up consumer complaints and see which oil companies are listed. Check with Federal Trade Commision on consumer complaints. www.ftc.gov See which oil companies are listed. If you pick up a bottle of Amsoil you can see clearly marked that it is good for 25,000 miles or 1 year. Do you think for a minute that Mobil, Redline, Castrol, Shell or Exxon wouldn't be all over Amsoil for false advertising if their claims were not true. After 35 years of being in business do you not think that there would be a class action lawsuit against Amsoil, if it didn't do what it claims?

its not the oil that goes bad, I am sure that Mobil 1 full sythetic or any full sythetic would last that long.

Its the filters that go bad usually not the oil. Show me a filter that is designed to last 25K miles in the stock setup.

I know....I know, you installed the oil bypass system, just like big rig diesels use. Try getting Ford or any OEM to agree to allow you to put that on your brand new factory warrantied vehicle. If ford will not agree you just voided your factory warranty and it clearly states in the AMSOIL warranty that they only cover vehicles that have had prior approval from OEM to change out equipment or in this case oil filter locations and/or bypass filters. I am pretty sure ford will would not sign off on doing that to your factory setup.

I only installed the by pass system because I could. The oil filters that Amsoil make are their own. They are manufactured to their specs with nano-technology. They are all good for 25,000 miles and screw right onto the block in place of your stock filter. They have always been good for that kind of mileage. As for the statement of making mods to your engine without permission from ford. One thing specifically is installing a turbo on an engine that didn't come with one. The by pass system that Amsoil makes falls under their warranty. Amsoil also makes a lifetime air filter that utilizes nano-technology and is good for 100.000 miles. Just blow the dirt out every 25,000 miles and re-install. It breathes as well as K&N but filters substantially better, which also makes your oil last longer, by staying cleaner.

The bypass system I installed was an Amsoil system. Covered by their warranty if used as Amsoil directs. Here is a link to the filter page on Amsoil's bypass filter.http://www.amsoil.com/StoreFront/bf.aspx
The regular spin filters are here.http://www.amsoil.com/StoreFront/eao.aspx
There are your oil filter 98.7% efficient through 25,000 miles in regular stock configuration. To Newton007, yes I did check the traction control posting. It was very helpful thankyou. It only made me feel half as frustrated. To rsylvstr. If you don't like the conversation don't respond. It was a question I responded to. Some may find it interesting.

your original response was fine....but then you went into defense mode against others....don't drag your soapbox with all your cut-and-paste info from the Amsoil site.
