mud flaps!

Does anyone have any suggestions on what brand of mud flap to buy? I've seen some out there but they all look pretty aweful. I'm looking for something stylish that will compliment the look of the truck, but still be affective. If you have pics of them on your own vehicle that would be a bonus. Thanks.

I put the molded Ford flaps on mine. Other folks buy the Husky Liners flaps. Both are fairly close in appearance, molded to look like they belong on the truck versus a flat hunk of plastic bolted to the wheel well lip, but maybe those are the ones you think look awful.

Beyond those, I haven't really seen anything that I would call stylish.

I put the Husky mud flaps on mine. They had a gap even after adjusting and adjusting and I didn't want the gap it made them ugly. Then I had a thought, I got them to fit as snug as possible then I took a tube of Black Silicone and flush edged the top and the sides and left the bottom open to release any water that might them. Now you have to look really close to seewhere the flaps start. Sorry don't have a digi camera to post pics. Probably will get one in a couple of weeks for my B'day.

I put the Ford units on. Easy to install and they fit right, but it was close to $100 for a set of 4. The local Ford dealers wanted $130+ for them! Who knew plastic was so expensive?

I installed the flexible Ford ones... Look pretty good, and work for what they are intended to do! I paid $50.00 for all 4 at Cabelas store. Dealer wants an arm and leg for them. I will have to see if i have any pics...

I also went with the Husky's They are suppose to be exactly the same as the Ford's. They were $62.00 for front and rears ($31.00 per set) from Northridge Supply Co. http://www.northridgesupply.com/ They are custom molded and even made to fit over the Ford black rubber protectors. They even give you custom cut clear paint protection tape for each one. They use Fords existing holes and you will have to drill one hole in the wheelwell lip for each one. I used some undercoating spray on the screws to keep the 4 drilled holes from rusting. Just my 2 cents.

gui88 & FOR - I've been looking @ the husky flaps. Are they easy enough to install w/out removing the wheels? I don't really have an easy way to remove them, but if it's as simple as using the existing holes and one more drilled it seems that it wouldn't be too bad if it can be done while the wheels are on.

thanks,
G

They don't look like Ford flaps to me. It looks like an extra lip on there. Not sure if I like them.

I ended up removing my rear wheels in order to get my drill in straight. It also gave me a chance to check out my 07 Screw's jack to see how it worked. All 4 flaps took me about 1 1/2 hrs to install.
