Power steering pump
I have replaced 6 powersteering pumps on my 1996 E-350 and for some reason each time the fluid is a creamy coffee color. I have replaced the the high pressure line from the pump to the gear box and yet I am still having this problem. Can anyone help me on this one??

What kind of fluid are you using? I'm thinking that you fluid is either not holding up to the heat or it is getting contaminated. Does you lid lock down like it is suppose to. When it burns up does it blow the top off?

I have had the cap blow off once. he fluid that they use is Gunk power steering fluid with stop leak in it and I keep telling them to use transmission fluid. All this wirk was done at the dealer.

I was just thinking that if he wasn't using a very good fluid that he should maybe change to synthetic. I bet that most people dont know that their PS pump gets hotter than they think. They even make coolers just for the fluid in the pump. Thats what I would look at first, but it would be a good idea to flush the system to make sure you not clogged or something.
