I just droped a used 302 long block into my truck and the oil pump happened to work intermittantly. Instead of pulling the motor or unbolting the pipes, I just cut them and fabbed up a true dual exhaust (2" 31" Thrush glasspacks, with turndowns in front of rear axle on passenger side).
My check engine light is on. I am running the O2 off one bank (passenger side)
My question is will that cause the CEL to come on?
Also, I couldn't weld my smog pump tube back up, could that cause the CEL?
Would a X-pipe or H-pipe with the O2 sensor in the bridged section fix it? This is going to be the wives truck, and need it in top running shape as she won't drive something not running right (Including if the check engine light is on).
