Thats the one! If I were you I would order it from these guys:

http://www.dieselsite.com/index.asp?PageAction=VIEWPROD&ProdID=205

They are much closer to you and it will arrive much faster than from Oregon. Just a few dollars more, but quicker. I bought mine from Dieselsite and Bob and Cheryl are good folks.

I found one locally that is a Flex A Lite brand and it is 32,000 GVWR. Don't y'all think that will be sufficient? I will tow only about 2 times a month and someitmes it will be between 10K-14K pd. trailer and other times it will only be about 7K pd. trialer. I'm not trying to argue with y'all but I could have it in tomorrow and I'm going on a 100 mile trip Friday with the truck.

It sounds like it may work, I jsut think it is best to go big once and you will be covered, rather than putting one in that may be marginal in size. I would say that ANYTHING is better than the OEM cooler that is on it. Do you have a pic of this flex a lite model?

I would also stress that your tranny will get pretty hot even when NOT towing without a decent cooler on it. I live in the desert of course but my temps would get pretty high without any load on my truck.

I just did a search for them and what I saw apppears to be the ol tubes running through fins like the Haydens. I am not sure how well these work in comparison to the Tru-cool. The tru-cool has rows of flat tubes running horizontally into the end tanks, and provide ALOT of cooling for your fluid.

It looks like it might work, but I dont care for the "tube" style like that, I dont think you get as much surface area cooling with that type, versus others.

What size are my stock fittings? Is it as simple as mounting the new cooler and hooking up the two lines? How do I know which line goes to the top and which one goes to the bottom? I want it to flow from top to bottom, right?

It does not matter which end you put where, the flow will be the same either way, jsut a different direction. The fittings are 3/8, your OEM cooler lines will mount right up on one end then the kit comes with the necessary tubing and fittings to make it to the other side. The hardest part of the entire thing is lining up your cooler and drilling a couple of holes up top for the brackets. It is easy......

If I recall correctly, I put the supply line to the closest nipple on the bottom of the cooler and the return line to the longer side.

When you install one of these big tranny coolers does it affect the Radiator's cooling ability because it is so big and covers a large area? Also, where did any of y'all drill for brackets? With the grill off I have this metal column running right down the middle in front of the radiator.

It does not affect your radiator cooling. I mounted mine right in front of the pillar and used and old intertube or some rubber product wrapped around that pillar to not have it rub on the columm over time.

You need to have the install kit in hand to see how you need to do it. It comes with 4 metal brackets, all the fittings, 3/8 hose. I drilled two holes at the top of the front body section for the top brackets, and I had to bend my bottom brackets to make them work.
