Just got mine today, hoping for a little better gas mileage. Seems to shift quicker and more firm. Will keep you posted on the performance

Yea the edge is great, if you need to pull a trailer you cant do without! I have picked up 1-2 mpg on everyday driving also. The performance is great too.

This is the exact same reason why I am contemplating selling mine. I hate having to listen to...."Why does your truck shift so hard? Why do you even bother with all that stuff?" Blah blah Blah

Good grief! The firm shifts are one of the main reasons i wanted it! I used to put shift kits in my Mustang trannys to get the firm shifts. The transmissions last longer and just feels soooo much better!

Firm shifts? Mine doesn't shift any firmer in Level 2 than it does stock unless I get into the custom programming and tell it to shift more firmly. And then I barely feel a difference until I get up to +12 or something.

My wife never drives my truck, but she does a lot of riding in it. In fact, she never drives her 2000 Expedition. Only 8800 miles on it!

I am thinking of getting me an Edge Power programmer because I will be towing a 6,000lb camper. Now will I need exhaust and other performance accessories or will I notice a difference with just the Edge. Thanks..

The Edge is designed for stock trucks. You will improve shifting and add about 20 to 25 HP. Plus, a lot more torque on the towing program. You also get the gauges which will monitor your tranny temp. Now, having said all that, if it were me, I would buy the Gryphon from Power Hungry Performance and get the custom tunes from Bill. The hardware is the same and Bill was a programmer for Edge, now on his on and gives fantastic customer service, plus the tunes are for your specific vehicle and your needs. In other words, the Edge is great but the Gryphon is better. I ran the Edge for 1 1/2 years, then got Bill's custom tunes. They are awesome.

Can the Edge be tuned? I usually run 93 in my truck just cause it seems to like it better. Theres also a Sunoco that has 94 in my town. Would I see noticable power increase running 94 with intake and exhaust with an Edge on stage 3??

I personally like the way the Edge looks better, the Gryphon is black right? The Edge is silver with blue background color right? What color is the Gryphon background?
