whistleing noise

97 f-150 4x4 4.6 liter makes a whistleing noise when i let off the gas and when i turn it off at shut off it will maintain a whistle for up 2 or so min

Vacuum leak. Take a short piece of hose, garden hose is a good size, and use it like a stethoscope to locate the "whistle".

you can also use b-12 chemtool and spray around the intake and all vaccum lines and when the motor tries to die thats where the leak is but remember you are useing a flameable substance so keep in mind that it is best to have a fire putter outter thingy around
