dp-tuner= no start

dp-tuner= no start

Installed today and runs only in level 4 thats all it will start or run in. At first it started in everything but didnt really seem to work then it only started and ran in level 4. What do you think.

Make sure you got the contacts clean.

ive cleaned them 4 times now. Maybe I should pull it and give it a scrubbing. Im almost afraid I will break it if I get after it to much.

If you cleaned it with alchol keep this in mind. The alchol will disolve and smear a thin layer back over the contacts. try taking a jewlers screwdriver and scraping light to see if you get any thing off of the contacts. If you do then you can do the same to the other contacts and get them clean.

I think I got her fixed runs great. What are the tunes. This is what I assume but am not sure. 1 stock 2 tow 3 econo 4 race. Am I close

FWIW...NEVER NEVER NEVER USE A METAL OBJECT TO CLEAN THE CONTACTS!!! That is a very fast way to turn your PCM into a paper weight! If you accidentally short the wrong 2 contacts together, you will permanently damage the PCM.

Some great tools I've found for cleaning the PCM:
Decent Fingernails
Wooden Popsicle Stick (ok, not great)
Wooden Cuticle Stick from local drug store (stiff, hard wood...works great)
Scotchbrite pad (after the majority of the junk is scraped off)
