oil pressure wire?
I have a 78 f250 modified 400 and i am hooking up a electric oil pressure gauge i was wanting to cut the wire going to the factory gauge cluster and use it but I have no clue of which one it is? does anyone have a clue??

Would this wire be hooked up at the engine end to the sender that came with your gauge - I doubt the factory sender would work properly, but I might be wrong. Look at the color scheme of the factory wire under the hood - it will remain this color all the way to the instrument cluster harness, ie white w/red trace, red w/white trace, etc.

Why not just run a new wire? Cutting and splicing is how the OE wiring harnesses get all butchered up.
Better yet why not buy a mechanical gauge? They are a lot more dependable than an electric sender.
