Don't worry about the dirt dart reference. My nephew is in the Wisconsin Army Guard (just left for Iraq). When he gets back he wants to get the Airborne training. My only advise to him was do it while he's young!! Alot of the guys I met that were my age seemed to have alot of knee problems.
The gunships are awsome. I did some of my maintenance training on them. Their about the only vehicle worse to work on than a modern FWD car. But if you have some moderately soft targets that need eliminated, they are effective.

For sure! Airborne is a lot of fun.. Tell him to get running now lol.. They run your rear end off there.. That and Air Assault.. We ran everywhere we went.. Didn't matter if you were in flip flops or combat boots.. You were running..
Off topic or not......this thread has been GREAT entertainment!!!!! The original question was answered right away, and you guys just had fun with it....no complaints here! haha the "monback" was a classic Redford!
I thought the Infantry didn't go backwards, just forward!
Must have been the Marines......
Geez......u never go backwards you always advance! All one does is change direction of the advance! Anyone thats been in the military should know that!

Yes they can be replaced individually although the jumper harnessess that connect them to the main harness go 2into1, or 2 harnessess for 4 sensors.
The cigarettes were nasty! That was back when I smoked, I would rather have had Camel NFs. Back when I was in basic at Ft. Jackson (Tank Hill, C company, 2nd Btn, 1st School Bde, 1st Platoon) you actually had to display a pack of smokes in your foot locker.
Holy crap!! Tank Hill, B Company here...although that was back in 83. My daughter escaped Ft Jackson about a year ago from B Company...Although she got Hollywood. Damn air conditioning.
