so is the 53-56 lower than the 48-52, stock? I have my axle beam resting on a wheel dolly, which puts my front spindle at 9", my rear wheel center is 13". My front bumper is 11". So adding 4" to my front spindle to even it up with the rear wheel, would make my bumper about 15". If I add a 3" drop axle & reverse eye mains, I may get it down to 10". Any lower than that where I live and I won't make it over the RR tracks, or survive the potholes from frost uphheaving. '48 F1
Hi all,
my front is 11" to the bottom of the frame and rear is 21"
I have a reverse mono on the front and have a lowering shackle and remounted the rear-forward shackle 1.5" lower on frame. I have removed two leaves from the rear stacks and might take another out when I check the ride on road.

I'm at 7-3/4" from the bottom of the bumper, and 6-1/2" to the bottom of the license plate. Before I got it aligned and straightened up I was less than 5".
John, your truck looks like it sitting just about where mine was originally. It looked great at that height but scraped on everything. I,m now running the Big Block MII springs from T.C.I. and it seems just about right.

Let me correct the info a little....ground to bottom of gravel pan is 9 1/4"
and ground to bottom edge of rear fender is 14"
I finally got around to measuring my 48 F-3 today. It's 10.5 inches in the front and 15 1/4 in the rear. Front is Volare IFS. Rear is above the springs Chrysler with Chrysler leaf springs. I'm running 225:75/R15 tires on all four corners...it's about right for me.
The engine is not in it now and the bumper is now removed. However, it was 8-1/2 to the bottom of the bumper before I tore it down. I plan to add 2" spacers over the MII coils before it goes back on the road because it was dicey over speed bumps and parking lot bumpers/curbs. That will save some scrapes on the bottom of the gravel pan.
