5.4 Starter

I have a 2000 F-150 with a 5.4. I have 136K miles and am on my 5th starter. It always seems to be a bendix problem.Pep Boys keeps putting them in under warranty but I'm stuck with wrecker bill. Has anyone else experienced this with their starter?????

same problem on my 300. I stopped going to Pep Boys and the problem quit.
