I finally went through and im getting DP tunes. I can't wait to get them and see what my truck actually has for power.
While at the post office I open up a letter from FTE since i just resubscribed for another year. I got the sticker and I look at the reciept and it says "! year membership" someones shift button was stuck lol.
This is so ironic... Reading a post the other day from you about recommending DP tunes because everyone here likes them... i was wondering why you dont have his tunes. Ha then my luck..
The reason I have been waiting was I was considering single shot injectors and why burn something twice. I got a long way before those sticks, so I figure I'd rather pay twice and have good tuning from now until next year.
Kris if you dont mind me asking where did you buy your rims from? Im trying to price out another set(i dont want to think about in 2 years my rims are going to be obsolete completly and work more in scrap) and the motometal951's chrome look good, but im trying to find the best price.
Don't mean to hijack, but I got my 951's from 4wheelparts for $900, but that was a price mounted and balanced on tires, and it was at a show in Lima, Ohio, so I didn't pay tax and got a hundred or so more bucks off the total price. There are tons on Ebay as well if you can't make it (or can't wait) to a show to save some $$$. Check out my gallery, I love them.
I knew those looked good, Im planning on 37X13.50X17's with toyo m/ts. When is that show in Lima, idk how far that is from me, but I got about maybe a little after christmas on these tires. I got one that is going to be bald in about 2 months and after that its a matter of time before the other 3 see there fate. Looks as good as i thought it would.
Well i got the edge evo rippin so im good. I just can't wait for those smoke tunes!!! The wierd part is I dont like getting on it from a start, i wait until she starts going like 15 then just hammer down. Hopefully one day ill have your "few" mods country. LOL, i hope my tires can last until xmas, since it only been 10 months since i bought them. Im lookin at the toyo's since these tires i have now which im pretty conservative with(ive done maybe two short burnouts), and they look as if they are going to get 35K out of it them which isnt bad to me. Just wait for the video when I have the new tires and the old ones need to be let just say exploded.
Call Robert at www.supertyte.com Super Tyte wheels is awesome... ive bought two sets from them, they gave me a break on this last set i bought, for the shipping on the wheels from their warehouse. Talk to Alpine6 who just posted a thread about his new wheels and tires.. guess where he got them..
John i do not have the 951s anymore, i have 954's now i LOVE them they are much nicer looking than the 951s
Those do look good. Im lookin to keep the price between 2K and 2.5k. How do those ride? I may need to do some photoshoppin to see the different combos look, but im stickin to the toyo mt's for sure, ive heard so many good things about the mileage and for the price this last set cost me i want something better. Before my buddy decided to burn his, i rode in his truck and it rode good, but it was only on the stock rims or maybe 17's. Im trying to go with a much different look since these rims i got now look like s#!t.
John, Give Ricks tire a call, Tell Rick I sent you, tell him what you are looking for, he might be able to set you up, If not, he normally wont screw with you and try to sell you something else. 586-739-3400. again drop my name, it is normally worth a couple of bucks...
Thanks for the replies BTW. Ill try calling ricks and robert@supertyte. This is the planning stage. I just hope after all this the tires dont rub on the bumper too bad or its going back for another re-arch and added spring. I seem to like that approach i sit there and they get it done in 2-4 hours for 200$ at john r spring.

John, they rub up front a little on the leaf springs if you turn it hard, like a 1/4 inch from the steering stop.(On 20s with the a center offset) And youll be surprised how much power it takes to smoke these things, my superchip isnt much but i can smoke them for 10-15 feet with a light powerbrake, i dont dump it with the turbo spooled much past 15lbs. Dp will do better but theirs still ALOT of rubber on the road.LOL
