Hello out there,
Joined the chapter-- and forgot which day
(I always wanted to use that smiley. They need more with one eye!!)
Anyway I was really supposed to drop a line and say "Hi!" to the guys in the chapter, participate in some threads, in general just get to know names and handles and so forth so when there is a GTG when I'm not working or under the truck I'll be more comfortable shaking hands and shooting the sh--- than if I simply appeared at a meet and knew no one except the two I wrote to after I saw they had a meet right where I live..
...Alas before I even knew there was an FTE. Thank seized rims and Google for that.
Thanks for the reply BIGKEN Well, as I said at the dealership, I won't be around much this week, but I'll check the threads quick every now and then and if/when some of the others drop a line can get to know them a bit before I venture into any GTGs.
Don't worry about just showing up... that's how I "joined," I'm still not sure if I'm an actual member (Sean ?). Come along and play.
Yeah, but it's a little easier knowing a few personalities going in..
BTW glad to read about your new truck. How's it running so far? All in all probably better than fighting off endless water gremlins on the other one.
gray91 about time you intro your self...We hope we see you soon and please come to our get togethers....We always have a blast......
ell nice to see a few characters appear on the thread.. Feel at home already--- I'll be watching the GTG thread with great interest for Sept.. If it's an "off" weekend I'll definitely try...
BTW does it matter if I show up "late"-- as in mid/late afternoon? Sundays are a pain for me up til 130 PM. Most of the GTGs are a bit of a drive from anywhere, so I assume most of the guys start out for the day by noon.
But if a later appearance is OK that makes things a bit easier.
I have personally met BIGKEN at the Ford dealer so he would be easy to spot in a crowd. From there I can just look for FTE shirts, etc.
