I have a 99 F250 SD 7.3 PSD Service Engine light came on today. Pulled the code 1395. What does this code mean and how do I repair?
Thanks in advance for any and all replies.
Jeff
Interesting... Is this a 99 MY code? I have a PDF from "FORD MOTOR COMPANY REVISION DATE: FEBRUARY 14, 2003" and all of the glow plug related codes are in the 06xx range. Of course this is for MY2002 and I assumed it was backwards complaint.
Thanks for all your replies. The code is a 1395. The truck was bought in Nevada.
I use a MAC ET75 Code reader. After further research on this site, I found it is a glow plug monitor fault bank 1. Does this mean to replace glow plugs and GPR? If so any feed back on this job?
Hey Guys, I just finished installing new glow plugs both banks. Started the engine and the service engine light went out. I indeed had worn out glow plugs on the right bank.
I'll change out the GPR later (money issue). Engine seems to start better. This cured the 1395 code. Thanks again for all your help and replies.
