Someone did, they did not have great success as I remember.
Motorcraft/Beru are the only glow plugs that have ever been installed in my engine.
Well over 350,000 miles with no problems getting the old ones out of the heads.
All I can say is a lot of manufacturers say a lot of things.
I have never seen a Beru tip swell, and I have seen a lot of them since 86.
I have also removed my heads before, so I know what is involved there as well.
The glow plug has a warranty, will it fix your engine or just give you a new glow plug?

I've had Wellmans in my engine for 2 years now, I have not had issues, and, the 4 that did fail when my controller died(turned the glows on while the truck was sitting idling, not sure how long hey were on, could have been at least a half hour) did not swell up like most everything other than Beru does.
If they make it another winter without problems between my truck, Stephane's and John's(both of these trucks have very high time engines, and need the glows ALOT, even on a 90 degree day Steph needs to use the glows if it sits more than an hour...) I'll say they're good. All three of these trucks are on manual systems now, and other than the 4 my controller killed, there have not been any issues in the last year.
