Hey, I just put a Pro Comp 6.5" lift with 37" toyo muds and love the truck. I was wondering how big of a difference the superlift truspeed actually makes. Does it change the shifting enough to make it worth getting cause I don't mind having my speedometer out a little (15% @ 100km/h).
I didnt go with the truspeed module i went with a jet accuspeed. But i will tell ya, my shifting improved and it so much easier to read the speedo when its correct. It was worth the money to do it.
I have the truspeed on mine, when i had 37's too. It was nice because if your speedo is off, you can go under with a small screwdriver and adjust a little at a time, you just dont plug in the tire size. Has two settings, so if you run a 37" tire and a 35" tire all you have to do is flip the switch and then you're set. I have one set on 35" and one set on stock, so i can go to the drag strip and still have correct speedo action.
thanks for the reply. I'm not as concerned with the speedo as the shifting, but if the shifting is improved i think i'm gonna get it. which one is better truspeed or jet accuspeed. Where can I get the accuspeed, I've never heard of it before.
I got mine from a local off road shop for about 190$ but i got it the day i needed it. Summit has the truspeed, jegs has the accuspeed http://www.jegs.com/webapp/wcs/store...52447_-1_10373. Its 152$ from them. I wanted it that day since i was driving up north and was sick of my off shifting and off speedo. The acuspeed doesnt have a switch to go from one tire size to the other, it only does one size, if you want to go to another size, you need to recalibrate it. Not a problem for me, i only have the 36's.
you guys do know that your speedo's are programmable right? why spend the money on something you dont need
I believe it goes only up to 35" tires, after that you on your own. Plus you can only reset your speedo a few times. What they are doing is telling the CPU how many revolution per mile your tires will go.

I picked up my TruSpeed at Missouri 4 wheelers supply, LLC for 186.90 (shipping included). I looked around quite a bit on the web before deciding on getting it from there. It took only three days and was shipped out on the day I purchased it, and they emailed me the tracking #. Look them up on the web (would have listed it here, but sometimes the link vanishes), I never heard of the accuspeed before or I may have looked it up also as a choice.

Dave
This is true. The revolution per mile only goes down to a 35" tire or 601. I never heard about a limit to resetting it though.
I saw a similar thread on this a few days ago so i called my buddy who works in ford service and he told me they are not allowed to do this anymore. anybody heard of this? i wanted mine reprogrammed for 35s. I don't know if he meant the dealer or ford.
How did you do that? Im not doubting you because very few people know how to do it, if you could post how to do it, im sure there would be a flood accuspeed/ truspeeds for sale here lol.
