Wink Electric Fans

I put on dual 16" perma cool fans. They are supposed to cool more than whats required combined. I say it worth the investment. The only time you will ever even need them is in stop and go traffic. I drove mine without one for almost two months and I never even heated up even close to a problem. They have a sensor to turn them on at a preset temp, but since I have had the fans I haven't heard them come on. I guess my cooling system works too good. I'll post some pics on my fans.

If the fan clutch were froze up it would be on all the time and it would be very noisy.

Can you spin the fan by hand? It should spin with some resistance but not so hard that it stops the instant you stop pushing it. I know that's a tough thing to describe but that's the best I can do.

I can spin it by hand. It will move just a little after I quit spinning(maybe 1/4 in) Will it hurt anything if it is froze? I noticed it would spin a couple of turns after I cut the truck off. Freewheeling?

Sorry

Sorry there wont be any picture. If you cant believe it then you cant believe it. I have sense sold the shroud and the fan plus clutch. I have add electric fans. I could take a picture of just the pump, but I bet it looks like everyone elses and the only difference might be the threads and I'm not going to try and get a picture of just the threads, but I asure it was left hand thread for I did take it off myself when I sold it, and it did say left-hand threads on the black plactic shroud.

Anyways 61 uni did you get yours taken care of. I still have my tools that I no longer need and I can send them to you. Honestly they make a world of differnce when working on the radiator fan. I wouldn't use lock tight. I remember taking mine off and if it wasn't for the right tools I dont think it would have come off. I hope you dont ever have to replace a fan clutch if you do. Good luck buddy

I think 61 uni doesnt need the tools because he borrowed some, and if it is the case, can you send them to me, how much $$ are we talking about? I dont think you can send them to Mexico directly, so I have an adress in USA.
