They are from a F150 that was mounted to the third row. I took conduit and mounted this to the wood seat back. Then installed the headrests and screwed them through the pipe, through the headrest post, and then into the wood seat backer. This is a "work in progress". The headrest hangs over the back too much for me. They are also non-removable right now. My future plan is to install 2007 Expedition Headrests in the 2nd row after highly modifing the posts. I then will make the F150 headrests thinner from front to back. Then take the seat apart and try and figure out an adjustable, removable headrest for the third row. I figure these are good WINTER projects. I'm glad everyone seems to like my interior. A lot of time, thought, and money went into the design and implementation.
Ray those seats look awesome. I have never seen ostrich in an Excursion before. Nice. I tried to email you but it came back so I sent ya a private message inquiring about your oem covers. Doug
Ray I am interested if you haven't sold them. My ds has a rip in the seat and my ps has a tear in the back. (fronts). one complete seat set would fix mine. I do have the limited with seat heaters, (not coolers ) would trade for coolers. 97 here today 100% humidity.
Your new covers look Great. UMHHHHH wonder if.. nope,, not in the budget this year already did brakes.
They Are The Nicest Seats I've Seen In An Excursion, Looks Better Than Most High Priced Up-scale Cars. I Would Have Personally Converted Mine To A "king Ranch" Excursion, Has Anyone Ever Tried This Or Are There Any Pictures Out There?
I was looking for $200 for the fronts, $500 for everything in the pictures. I know that just to purchase a Front Seat Bottom from Ford is in the $170 Neighborhood.
I want to point out the following. For right now....1st row is missing the armrests. 2nd row is missing all of the 40% seat covers and the bottom of the 60% seat cover. 3rd row has everything. I just found this out when I unpacked them from the upholstery guy. He gave me a hard time about me keeping the OEM covers. I think he might be selling them himself. Who knows. Anyway I have him "looking around" in his shop for the missing pieces. I may "drop in" on him next week to see what he has found. If he can't find them I'll have to sell what I have. If he does find the missing pieces, I'll honor the above price for you. If you want to take a pass on these, that's okay. I'll offer them to the other FTE members in the order that they EMailed showing interest. If that fails, there is always EBay.
Did You Forget Ford Pkup's Have A King Ranch Package With Saddle Interior, I Would Have Converted Mine To Look Like That. I Don't Know Why Ford Never Offered That In The Ex.
I think that the King Ranch in a beautiful interior. I believe Ford never offered it because it would have pushed the cost of the truck from the high 40's / low 50's all the way up to the high 50's. A new superduty with the King Ranch interior is close to $60,000. You would still have to add the cost of the third row in. My 2 cents.......
Also the King Ranch is extremely high maintanence. If you want it to look nice, you have to stay on top of the cleaning and conditioning. I have heard the conditioning is a little more involved than regular leather, and the cream is not something you can buy at AutoZone or PepBoys.

I have fully skinned an Ford escape seat and the headrest assembly is super easy to retrofit. There are two metal tubes that are drilled through the seat frame and selded into place. Then there are plastic inserts that fit inside the tubes and hold the headrest. You cannot buy the metal tubes but everything else you can purchase from ford. I guess I could measure the tubes if anybody wants. Then you could go to the local metal shop and buy two tubes. THe tubes have two little half inch slits on top but they can be made pretty fast.
