Has anyone seen the last few episodes of "Two Guys Garage" where they are using Duplicolor auto paint on a car? It is a lacquer based paint that requires no reducers or mixing. I gues its' just a pour and shoot paint. Then a clear is used over the paint. I checked out Dups web site and they really dont offer much information about the product. Currently they say they have 8 colors. I sounds good, but I dont know much about lacquer paints. I put this post in the paint &bodywork section, but have a hard time getting any replies.
There is a very long thread (several actually) on hotrodders about this paint. The people who have actually tried it are not saying good things. One guy threw away what he had left after spraying a project.
Pay particular to BarryK's post #43. He owns SPI (paint company) and offers some good low budget alternatives that will work much better. He is not trying to sell his paint products. Just giving extreme low budget options.
BTW: duplicolor is selling it on every TV show they can pay for. I have seen it on several of them now.
