Weird AC problem
Sunday night I drove to VA and Monday during the day, used the A/C. It worked fine, but would automatically switch from blowing our of the panel to blowing out of the defroster. I'd turn it off and back on and it'd work most of the times. If it didn't work, I smacked on the controls a little and it'd help.
Tuesday I had no problems with the A/C at all.
Any Ideas????

Hey Dawg,
AC blowin out of Defroster usually means a vacuum leak. Defrost position is the "default" position of the vacuum motor that controls where the air will come out. If the vacuum is low, the spring tension on the vacuum motor will return it to the defrost position. Look for a loose or cracked vacuum line. These can be hard to locate, but sometimes can be "heard" if you listen carefully at idle under the dash and under hood.
good luck!
