Plastic Push-in Retainers
The 97 F150 I recently bought as some round plastic retainers that hold in the corner trim and cab wall cover behind the seat. These retainers are the kind that are suppsed to be removed by pushing the center in, then pulling the whole retainer out. They look similar to the plastic rivets used in other places on the truck, but these are meant to be reusable.
Any way, to get to the question *LOL* .... does anyone know where I can buy some of these retainers? The PO of the truck only put 1 back in each side when he removed his speakers.
My local Ford parts man laughed and said there were too many different kinds of those clips for him to look up just that one and get the right color. Local body shop told me the same thing.

I know it's not a very big purchase but dang it, I want my truck to look right and not have all those open holes.
Thanks,
Mark
Yeah the Ford dealer here has never been known for customer service. It's a miracle they can keep the shop open unless they are making it doing warranty work.
I've tried several google searches but I must be using the right terminology for the part. I can find the plastic rivets but not this cussed thing.
Maybe a dealer in a larger nearby town will be responsive.
After a discussion with the owner of the local dealership here (who I"ve known for 20 years or more) about his customer service, it only took a day to find out these pins only come in a pin "kit". PN for the gray ones is F65Z-15310A00-AD. In the kit are 5 larger pins, 10 small ones and 2 push in retainers.
Hope this saves someone else some time.
Mark
