hey guys i know i am beating this subject to the ground but, have any of you ever used the alt bracket from C.R.A.P? heres the website http://www-link.com/cgi-bin/odbic***...e=Ford%20Parts
looks to be the nicest bracket yet. but i just dont understand why the hell they charge so mch for a peice of metal that cost maybe 20 bucks. ya know, the way they have it mounted, a guy could duplicate that real easily.
It comes down to being "custom" and not that many people have access to the proper parts to make the set up. I wasn't able to load the page from the link you posted FYI.
That wouldn't load for me. Unless you're doing a show engine, then you can make a bunch of diffrent brackets work. to run my 100 amp alternator, I'm using the stock mount for the fixed end, and a chevy bracket for the adjuster end. the chevy part i had to cut in half and weld back together at a slight angle, but I could have bolted it back together. either way it was a 10 minute job
