Clutch fan

I can move my clutch fan and see the whole pully moving like it is loose. It looks like the whole shaft is rocking. Am I going to be replacing the water pump or is this normal on these engines?

I looked at mine although it is a 5.4 should the fan setup not be similar. The pulley bolts to the water pump. Could these bolts be loose. If they are tight then I fear it may be a water pump. That is about all I have to offer. Hopefully it's not the water pump.

That sure sounds like a new water pump. Have you seen any coolant leaking or any come up missing out of the jug?

There has been no loss of coolant from the tank or any leakage from the pump housing or weep hole. Anyone else notice this or is this going to wear the seal and leak. Ido not think this is normal just wanted oppinions before I change the pump. Have a long trip coming up in sept.
