Capacitor Mounted on Ignition Coil
REF. MAZADA B3000,1994,3.0 V6, 141,100 MILES.
Have to get a new Ignition Coil for above. There is a Capacitor mounted on this coil. Auto parts says this capacitor has nothing to do with coil.
What is this capacitor for? Is it noise reduction of does it work with the Coil?

Capacitors in the ignition system are used for radio noise reduction only and have no other function in that system. So if it's not there or not working you would get ignition noise on primarily AM stations and maybe a few FM stations. Other than that you could leave it off.
