2001 ford f450 issue

door ajar won't go off. anyone have this problem???

if your dome light is staying on also you just need to spray wd 40 in the locking mechanism on the door. it gets dirty and spraying cleaner in there will clean the contacts

This has been discussed numerous times and is not uncommon. Do a search on "Door ajar light" and look at the "03 Super Duty : Door ajar light" tab. Most folks have been successful spraying something like WD40 into the door lock mechanism. It worked for me and I have not had the problem since.. Good Luck!

do you know i acutally did that for no apprarent reason almost as a last ditch effort to fix it. funny thing is i did it before i looked at the board and since it stopped i never came acnd checked the answers. Lo and behold look lol. sprayed with wd-40.
