Ahhh, thats one of them 7.3 gas powerstrokes. Yes the 02's do have a dana 60 front axle. This is just my opinion, but if I were going to buy a lifted truck like that I would really like to see it in person. Ya never know if it was done right, or beat. Good luck.
Nice looking truck, But thats one I WOULD have to drive myself (YOU), really kick the tires crawl all under it, If its in good shape they wont mind you taking it to an independant to be checked out. If they dont, WALK away.

The 7.3L was/is diesel, not gas. The only gas engine options were either the 5.4L V8 or the 6.8L V10. Even with the gas, the truck is not a "powerstroke", because that term refers strictly to the diesel engine.
Cool, a Dual Fuel Powerstroke!! Seriously, it is a diesel, they just mislabled the details on the ad. That is a great list Tenn01 put together, but it can also be a lot to remember. When you start it, it should start good, and idle good with no missing. Pull your oil fill cap, and look for a light haze. If it is heavy, walk away. Check bottom of doors on the inside for rust. Pull turbo inlet tube and look for dust in the boot, chipped turbo blades, and any lateral movement in the turbo shaft. A very little in and out is normal. up and down is not. Everything else is general maintenance.
Also, almost no matter how the truck was treated, anything close to 150,000 miles on the transmission is living on borrowed time. Some would consider that number lower.

That explains why my truck doesn't seem to run right. The guy has it listed on ebay in one spot as a gas engine. Then further down it is listed correctly. Didn't mean to confuse anyone. I thought it was common knowledge!
Stock it is rated at 525ft lbs of torque and I believe about 215HP, others will correct me if I'm wrong. The 7.3 if well cared for will give you 300K miles easy. There are some guys here that have 500K+. The tranny is a weak spot but can be upgraded and live a long and trouble free life.
Im pretty sure the 02s have a rating of 250hp but i think the torque is right For that kind of money on a lifted truck you need to go and see it. Even if it was all done right there are lots of little things that a lifted truck goes through faster than a none lifted truck, and TRUST ME the little things add up. Price is ok for the mileage and a lariat, good luck
