i own a 1984 6.9 that is due for an over haul i aqried it as a farm truck and it was in pretty rough shape, after a couple hundred dollors and some bloody knuckles i got it going again, since then its had many problems including the 4-wheel drive going out and not just the hubs the front splines are shot, and recently ive had trouble with the rf brake cailper falling off and destroying and exellent set of alcoa wheels the came with the truck. but know ive purchased another truck and are ready to take some time for my 6.9, but i dont want to go back to stock, since diesel truck pulling has became so popular i think that i can make my truck hang with some of the big boys. ive tried looking for high-output pumps and injectors but no luck all ive heard is that there is a secondary fuel screw on the back of the pump but that only takes care of the fuel and my plan is to have it hot ringed and the heads studded, that means there is a possibility for twin turbos. so if yall have any more ideas id love to hear them, Thanks
