Pipe Sizing please read

I know, doesnt belong here, but since i need this quick and seeing how more people come here than the exaust forum, i decided to post here, anyways, Does anybody know how you convert the diamiter of your piping to determine the radius, like how big of diameter would i have for 2-1/4 or 2-1/2, if you reading this just had a new exaust put on and you know its a new 2-1/4 or 1/2 will you go measure it and get back as soon as possible, im trying to get some turndowns on my truck right after mufflers, but i dont know what size i need to get?

2 1/4 or 2 1/2 is your diameter, for exhaust it's typically outside diameter.

If you divide it by two you'll get the radius, but it's kinda pointless in exhaust sizing.

How about a conversion from circumference to diameter?

For exhaust pipe diameters, just divide the circumference by 3 (pi). Pi is a much longer number than that (3.14159....) but you really don't need all the significant digits for this one.
