302 or 351c

I have a 1969 f100 with a newely installed c-6, matted to my 240il6. The 302 I already own, but can get a 71 351c with headers, flywheel, instake and 2bb carb for 500. I was planing on putting one of these engines into my 67. Will a 351c fit into the smallblock bellhouse and which seems to produce more torq or hp. I know the 302 is smaller, but is it a more relible motor....

Thanx in advance.

302 or 351c

The Cleveland will bolt right up to a small block bellhousing as for strength well that depends. The cleveland has a stronger bottom end than a 302 and is easier to get horsepower out of.The 302 can be built well enough to handle power plus they are more widely used so parts are more accessable and more cost efficient. The 302 might wedge into your 67 with a little bit more ease than the cleveland, especially with mounts and headers. Other wise there is always custom work. I could right a book on all the crap I had to do to get my cleveland running in my 78 4x4. These are just my opinion's. I do not believe Ford made a bad engine. Just some that could use a little help.
