Which chip (tuner)?????

Hey everyone..the turbo lag in my 06 f-250 is driving me crazy.. Which chip or tuner can I put in that wont void my warranty or be detramental to my truck. All I really want is to be able to hit the pedal and get an imediate response.and better fuel miliage if that is possible..thanks for your input

Using a tuner will always be a risk.. However you can keep yourself from hurting.. For your type of application your wanting..

SCT XCal II with tunes by Spartan Diesel Tech.. Something low end, more like a Stock Plus file that will give you a little bit of throttle response, boost up the MPG while keeping injectoring timing down so your not scoring the pistons..

We can't say you'll keep your warranty with a tuner.. It's a 50/50 deal.. I for one run a Tuner but my Service Manager is fully aware and I cover the damage it my cause while still retaining my factory warranty on parts that won't be affected by a Tuner (which ain't much)..

Using a chip would severly crush you.. There's a lot of folks that have had busted tranny's, blown gaskets, warped heads and many other things with the use of "Chips".. The SCT is a straight foward ECM/TCM programmer.. It takes your factory computer images off and replaces them with Custom Tunes we write to your specific need, style, vehicle and desire.. Unlike Chips they are set for 1 way and 1 way only.. With SCT it's built for the user and just the user

Just remember the SCT XCal II is a Programmer, there's a big difference between that and a Chip (Edge, Banks, Bully Dog).. Right now SCT is one of the safest methods to tuning your engine.. As long as you don't go overboard on the custom tune, you can pretty much get away with a lot..

Honestly, just FYI.. There's a lot of heated debate about folks doing this.. But running a Stock Plus file on your engine with the XCal II.. If you ever need service, reflash it back to Stock, disconnect your batts for 20 minutes and turn your headlights on.. After that they will never know you had a Tuner.. a Lightly tuned file would never score your pistons enough for ford to ever suspect or know a tuner was used unless you just leave it sitting in the front seat

Just food for thought.. If you want to know more just lemme know..
