Need help

My wife drove my 97 cc 350 home from target,,, she smelt a burning smell. Checked it out real quick at lunch,,, it appears my left rear wheel is locking up? I am thinking the rear brake shoes are not releasing. I don't have a manual to figure out the procedure for removing the rear drum. I have done standard 1/2 ton trucks and so forth. Are there any tricks to removing the rear drum on a 1 ton?

The drum is outboard mounted, so it comes off just like a 1/2 ton. Was she using the parking brake ? maybe the cable is stuck.

yep the drums are mounted just like most standard 1/2 tons. just slides over the hub and studs.

yes, she had just used the ebrake,,, but it has been released and wheel is still sticking pretty good. Thanks for info on drum,,, will tear into it after work tonight.

My bet the cable is stuck. My wife doesn't use her EM brake and I do since it is habit for me with the 5 sp. She has got in hers after I have driven it and run with the EM brake on since she is not used to using it. We found out the brake light doesn't work with the EM brake so we try to keep tabs on it. Here are some manuals down load them and save them they are mainly for the psd engine.
