That wasn't a prototype you saw. The 95 Cobra "R" had the 351W ,the only ones since the demise of it in 1970 in the Mustang.

wasnt a 1995 nor a cobra R, it wasn't the SN-95 body style, it was a fox body, notch i believe, dont think it was a hatch back

what were you running for oil..looks like mud...and by the looks of the timing chain that motor had a few miles on it.

a motor is a motor, it don't mater what it is you have to take care of it.

ps how can it be all stock and have a forged rotating assembly ???? that is just a stock motor by the looks of it.

I thought that the rods were also, but i didn't know that they all had them, thats cool.

but, you still got to beat on it pretty hard to tear up a forged rotating assembly, stock or not

In 302 rods, the C8OE's are good to 7500 rpms with ARP bolts. Beware of the 90's rod, I think the forging numbers are F1TE, I've seen a couple of stock applications that broke these. Some of the stock forgings are better than others. Others to stay away from are the old 352/360 FE rods, lay one next to a 390 rod and you'll see the difference.
