Steering Box
Anybody replaced the steering box? My 1999 F250 CC is getting really loose on the road at 130K miles. High centered at high speed a while back and have already replaced pitman arm, inner and outer tie rods and other parts. Looks like it may be down to the steering box. If you have replaced it, where did you buy a good one?

I had mine replaced under warr at the dealer. You can adjust the meshload in them to tighten them up a bit. Do a search on this forum and you'll find the info. However, if you've damaged it at all, replace it. There was a defect investigation by the NHTSA on the shaft breaking, so they obviously are a little weak to begin with.
They can be had for about $300 anywhere. Someone might chime in on where to get a deal.
