O2 sensor location
Sensor starts working at 600F. Exhaust exits port around 1200 to 1400F. Depending on wrapping or coatings, a header may cool the exhaust down more or less than a manofold. Just put it in the collector if you can, or after if you have to. All O2 sensors have to wait until the exhaust system is hot enough to keep the exhaust hot before they work.
