Well... I really liked this tire when it was younger.. full of deep tread and good traction, and great looks.. Those tires really had a bite to them... but as they got older.. well I am amazed at how much I have grown to dislike them as I get towards the end of our relationship.. Yep, we're still talking tires, not spouses

Seriously, I hit about 35k miles on these tires last winter.. I am telling ya, it was more dangerous in my truck in snow than in any other car I have.. Even in 4WD, I was ALL OVER the road, tires spinning and braking was a white knuckle experiance.. I had 6/32 of tread vs. original depth was 16/32. See the thread link below for more info..

I guess the bottom line is, I really expected to get more than 35K miles outta these tires.. I am running them thru the summer just to get all I can from them and to delay the expense of new tires until Fall.. By hunting season I will have new tires.. the question is.. WHAT brand will I get..

Nj ... sorry 65 on my speedo is exactly 71.5mph (actual) .. the mph you stated above .. speedo or actual .. when my speedo hits 70 (77 actual) @ 2000rpm, my turbo engages and I watch the milege come down ...

I have them on my H3 and have never had a problem with them. They also have a great warrantee on them, get the tires registered with them and if you ever get a flat they will come and fix it for free. I have driven fron NJ to AL and back, from NJ to WV and back and from NJ to Western MD several times and have nothing but good things to say about the S/A's. Granted they are only taking the H3's weight but I am happy with them. Just my 2c's.

nj, i have the v10 engine is all stock with the zoodad and k&n. at the time i bought mine, it was over $6k less than the same truck with the diesel. i just cant see paying the $ for the diesel. it would take more time to have the advantage than to buy the v10. oh, gas, $2.69. in nj, as you know, its like $2.58?.. oh, maybe its the 22's that i have or something. either way, i run 33" tires. thats with no lift and no rubbing...

just a little FYI the tires will not rub the frame they will rub the leaf springs and with 42in tires you can get away with no rubbing on the springs.once you hit 44's you will have a slight rub at full lock left and right.but never have i seen them rub on the frame.i think you mean the leaf springs

Snurtle I cannot imagine that 42in tires will not rub the springs. How can that be? Do you have a pic. I have 35's now and not much room to spare. I could not even imagine adding another 3.5 inches to the tire.

wait, how much lift are we talking about. anyway, its mostly the wheel width and offset that matters. but 42's, no lift. not a chance in hell.

ya only the 44's have rubbed,42's work fine.and its not really the tire that rubs just the lugs.so if you find a small lug 44 youight even be able to pull that off.mine are a 44-16.5-19 width is 19 which hurts a lil

again, how much lift do you have on your truck to be able to run the 42's?

duh, no wonder you can put 42's... lets see some pics... sounds cool, but, a pic is worth 1000 words. i also think that just by saying that you have 17" of lift, you should be able to go bigger.

nj, thats why his 42's dont rub. they probably stick out waaaay far too. that wouldnt fly here in pa or in nj with the lift laws. in pa, max bumper height is only 30". and the tires cant stick out past the flares. and they can only be 3" max. i had to put a 12" drop bumper just to get my dodge down to 35" bumper height.

well i have 44's on it now.. i was stating that 42's do not rub on the leaf springs..that doesnt have to do with the lift ,just how big the tire is from right to left lock.. so u could have a 30in lifted excursion but your still going to rub with 44's because there rubbing the spring..unless you go with HUGE spacers, but then you will sheer a lug with those HUGE tires

wow, thats pretty big...but like i said, most of your tire is sticking out of the wheel well. most guys cant and dont have the kind of wheel offset that you are running. but anyway, looks sick.. i just hope that the dirt that you are on now isn't the worst that it ever sees. i have my dodge(pics in gallery) and i hate the big rigs that stay on the pavement and never see offroad.
