A/C question

my fan blows cold air whether its on the A/C side of the selector switch or the fan side. The temp switch is set all the way to cold and the panel/vent ducts are selected on my '97 flareside. Any ideas on what's wrong?

the HOT-COLD adjustment **** changes the temp by mixing air from the AC with air from the heater to get teh correct temp. when the AC button is off, the temp is a combination of outside air and heater core air. as KR said, there is a "door" that is electrically controlled by a small motor. it is possible the arm between the blend door and the motor is broke. lay on the floor and look above the throttle pedal and turn the **** from hot to cold and see if you can see the motor or arm moving.

Pull the TEMP **** off and inspect it. They split and strip, causing the **** to slip on the shaft.
