i bought mine that way - salvage, then rebuilt it. drives great , never had an issue yet (well a rear axle seal just went and needs to be replaced but its been on the road for years now). my truck was written off with little damage to it. i dont have a warrenty either, but the 5 yrs will be up shortly anyway, and it wouldnt have mattered either way. i wouldnt stay away from a salvage just because its been rebuilt, depending on the damage type and who rebuilt it, it can be no different that any other truck.

It will never be a full value truck, in the event it's stolen or totaled.
You will pay full insurance for decreased benifits.
Still 'IF' the price it right jump on it and use the saving to mod the hell out of it.
Depending on the extent of damage done and who repaired the vehicle, it's possible that it's better than it came from the factory. There's virtually no part that you can't get for a vehicle these days, so it comes down to the quality of the repair.
How many miles and how much are they asking for the vehicle? Have they disclosed that it's a salvage title? Not doing so would probably constitute fraud to some extent, depending on the state you are in. At least I would think.

I'm not saying that the truck is not a great truck,
But insurance companies have access to title history information.
If that truck is wrecked again, repair or payout will be based on its salvage value.
If is has a salvage history I don't think it matters the extent of the damage, but I could be wrong. Think about it like any other refurbished item , you won't pay full price reguardless of how nice it looks or works. You don''t get to see what was fixed
on THIS one. I'd buy salvage in a heart beat at a big reduced price.
You can total a vehicle more than once though, my dad found that out the hard way. His 79 Bronco got totalled out three times, he just kept buying it back from the insurance company. Got hit by a train, a crane, and a semi while he was working at the steel mill. It always ran fine so he would just buy it back and keep driving it, cause he didn't want to get something better just to have it get hit again. Started off life as two tone brown, ended up with a dark green hood, and light green doors. The rear window was held up by bungee cords inserted into holes we drilled in the roof. The dang thing just kept going though. He finally quit driving it around 99. The truck still ran fine but it needed brake work, and he didn't want to put the money into it. It sat behind our Barn for three years. About once a year I would go out and jump start the thing at it would take off. Put air in the tires and did donuts around the pasture and then parked it again. He sold it for $200 around 03 and I could have killed him when I found out.
