203 problem?
i have a 74 f 250/pt 203.i replaced front axle with a 76 open knuckle one,and at same time installed lock rite.last month at the mud bogs i took out the pass side axle shaft and u-joint.i replaced those and last race i have a loud popping noise coming from down there .i checked the hubs and its not those ,i jacked up the front end and checked the diff,nothing appears out of place ,locker ratchets like it should .when its locked up and you do a brake torque on it it makes this loud popping noise ,had a friend check and drive shaft appears to jerk when it pops .does the chain just drive the front ? or could it possibly be something inside the diff? any thoughts or suggestions on what to check?

well did some research thru pbb and found the popping is common on these cases ,the chains wore and jumping the sprocket,now how much of a job is it to change it and can it be done with it mounted in the vehicle.also see there are 2 chain sizes listed 2.0 and 2.5", any way to easily check to see which one i have.can this be done in a few hours or is it more consuming to change it out,thanks
