Why dead batteries?
I need help! When trying to start my X (2000 psd) after it sits for three or more days, the batteries are dead. The batteries and alternator have been tested and they are good. The interior lights and other electrical components all appear to be off. If it sits for two days or less there seems to be no problem. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

You can put a multi-meter between the positive cable & terminal. Simply pull the cable off and put it between the two. Then pull fuses until the drain (reading) drops. There should be a minimal amount of drain (usage) to keep all the memories alive (radio, PCM etc.) but it should be minimal as in Milliamp minimal. I can't remember the exact amount but a search in the SD forum should turn up the number.
Don't turn the truck on or try to start it with a household multimeter in line. I believe it may fry it. It shouldn't be running or started anyway to help you find the source of the drain.
