I have an `05 Ex with a 6'' lift and 35'' BFG Allterrains sittin on 20`s. I have 34000 miles on them and rotate every 3500miles, and keep correct pressure. Down to wear bars and need to go shopping. BFG`s a little to pricey for me. Anyone had good luck with any other all terrain/off road tires?
I went thru two sets of Nitto Mud Grapplers not real happy with either set. Diffferent trucks. Recently put the Pro COmp xterrain on and so far I am much happier.
My Toyo Open Country A/T were only good for about 25,000 miles, now I'm running Cooper Discover ATR which have a 50,000 mile wear waranty and it looks like they will make it, I have 25,000 on them now and they are not even worn half way. I found the Coopers online for $176 each with free shipping and Discount Tire matched the price. They have been great tires and I will definetely go back with them.
I also have an 05 X with a 6" lift. I have been very happy with my Nitto AT's in the 325/60/20. Not near as loud as the MT's I have used in the past on other trucks and seem to be wearing really well 6k miles and still have nipples on the sides. I have also had excellent results with the Pro Comps X terrain as well. They were a little louder than the Nitto AT's but handle the muck better.
Yet another 05 X with 6" lift. I have 35" toyo MT's on 18" rims and think they are one of the best tires I have run. they will wear a little fast on the street but that is the only bad thing I have to say about them.
They took almost no weight to balance them. good offroad traction, not to loud, smoothe on the highway up to around 100.
I am thinking of looking at a all terrain but I love these tires so much we will see.

I have the Pro Comp All Terrain's and am very happy with them. They work very well in sand and are quite on the street. They have a 50,000 mile tread warranty. Once per year, I can't remember when, they have a buy 3 get 1 free deal.

I have over 33000 on a set of 35 inch Nitto Terra Grapplers and love them, no issues and are wearing very well. They seem to be close to half worn, but I am still looking to get new ones within a year. As is, I can trade them in for 35-45 a piece at the local tire shop, basically get one new one free. Do not like the idea of a blowout with this truck. I am looking at the TGs again, or the new Dune grapplers or pro comp extreme AT. I love the look but hate the name.
I have went through 2 sets of Pro Comp X terrains on a wrangler while keeping pressure good and rotating 5 tires, still barely get over 20K miles. I know it is an of road tire but it is a light 4WD with 33s, and sees almost no highway. Only 2 years on a set of tires sucks compared to a much heavier truck with the Nitto and much better wear. I will say, it is the best tire I have used off road. I was looking to change the Jeep to Nitto Mud grapplers.
MOPNUP- what was your deal with the mud grapplers? fast wear?
well i had a set of Nitto MT on my Ex and on my F250 and had a very short treadlife on each. Of course the Ex spends more time on highway so they wore quickly. But my biggest complaint was an inability to keep them balanced after ohhh 10,000 miles or so.
10K rebalance is not bad, the X-terrains are every 5k or 6k or I get a bad shimmy and on a very short wheelbase, that is BAD! Seriously considering some centramatics.
