You do know that you'll come out ahead by using aftermarket Windsor heads here don't you? And as for Boss pistons, Federal Mogul probably makes the Boss pistons, I don't know that they'd clear the crank counterweights of a 408 crank though at BDC. That's using a 4" stroke, 5.95 rods and 1.55 pistons. Then you'll need a custom intake for this to work on a 9.5 deck block.
I've got these heads laying in my shop i dont see the point in spending that money on somthing thats not that much better than what i have. Ive already made my spacers to adapt the windsor intake to the heads.
For my custom order pistons, I use either CP pistons (http://www.cppistons.com/) or JE pistons (http://www.jepistons.com/) exclusively. They both have excellent customer service, and very fast turn-around time for custom orders. JE and SRP are actually the same company, with the SRP being their "shelf" piston. I'm sure they've got what you need in stock.
Can't use the boss piston it has a different pin heigth..you need a piston with the 302 pin heigth and valve reliefs cut for the cantered valves. TRW use to make them but no longer do ...you will have to have custom one made...500.00
check my sig i built a 351Clevor
might change your mind after you add up what it costs to build one.
