I have been looking at swapping out my stock cam for a Crane Compu-cam. The cam duration is 190/198 @.050. Has anyone used one of these camshafts, if so what have been the pro's/con's with it. My truck still has the Speed density setup on it, and probably will since the changeover kit from Ford Motorsport is around $675.00
I am also looking into a chip and a couple of other add ons in the near future.
I have never used that exact cam. If you do not already have one, I would recommend getting a CRANE catalog and doing some reading. The catalog is very good, filled with technical discussions and details about their cams. The web site is www.cranecams.com
