Truck is vibrating

I have a friend with an older ford truck he was complaining alot about truck vibrations he thought it might be in the wheels so he had them balenced and front end aligned. This helped some, then just last week he was driving to work and the Dive shaft broke a "U" joint. Turns out it was just a bad u-joint, replaced it and the truck no longer vibrates. Take that for what it is worth it is an easy check.
