Problems adding gauges

I had a set a mechanical gauges (water, volts, oil psi) from my old truck and was going to add them to the new one. Just as I was going to finish up the install by screwing the probe into the free port on the water pump, I found out its not deep enough. After i spent more than an hour trying to route the mech line, barely having enough, i find this out. Oh well, I wanted electric gauges anyway.

Where can i get some electric gauges, complete kit would be nice. I looked in summit but wow are those things expensive.

I assume that the gauge sender will fit into the free port?

egauges.com are reasonable. I bought mine directly from Hewittindustries.com You have to call them and ask for Bruce. They are better quality and way cheaper but you have talk to them and wait for shipping from Ca.

You could still install the mechanical gage if you add a short pipe nipple and adapt the sender to fit the nipple. I had the same thing happen on one of my tractors and that's how I solved the problem. I used brass stuff from the local harware store.
