Well i just acquired a 4 core radiatior and put it in my ford...i don't have a clue what the difference is between this one and the one that i had in it...can anyone give a guy an idea....thank you.
Pretty sure you mean 4 row. It refers to the rows of tubes in the core. More tubes= More surface area = better cooling efficiency vs. the stock 2 or 3 row.
Take the radiator cap off and look inside. You should be able to see the rows. Count the ones on the old radiator and the ones on the new radiator. If they have the same amount of rows then it is the same radiator.

The fins per inch is important also, many time the difference between the standard radiator and a h.d. one is just more fins/inch. Four tubes with plenty of fins and good recovery system will make a happy engine.
I had previously posted a picture of my Modine. https://www.ford-trucks.com/forums/a...tid=4484&stc=1
It is a 5 row and you can see how close the tubes are together. It has a total of 64 tubes per row. This thing is so big and heavy that it darn near takes a cherry picker to get it in and out.
