Exclamation Help Help Help!

I think i sucked a piece of celophane up into my rec air system, on my AC. Real thin from a cigerette package, ya i know quit smoking...But for the immediate problem has anyone had that motor gone bad or been into the ducting system. It sounds like, remember when you were a kid and clothes pinned baseball cards to your bike and made noise like a motorcylcle, and i dont want to screw up the motor. ANYONE PLEASE HELP, FLORIDA WITHOUT AC IS NO GOOD. THX fellas

Have you twisted yourself up under the passenger side of the dash to see if it's there? I sucked up a plastic bag last year and it was simply pulled up against the intake.

I'm not sure what those holes are for either. I was talking about the blend door. you can open it up by hand pretty easily and kinda sorta get look up in the air box.

At any rate, the blower motor is a big ole hoss. I doubt if a little piece of plastic can slow it down in the least.....outside of my case where it blocked the entire intake. And even then it worked fine on low air, it was only when I switched to the recirc that it couldn't draw from the cabin.

Where is the blend door, behind/below the glove box? Somewhere else?

Lay on the pass side floor and stick your arm up behind the glove box. You will feel the blend door. a stuck piece of something will sound like that (a walmart bag took out pops AC till he found it blocking the blend door. Hang on a sec I see if I have a pic.

Benny, there's a little kick panel held in by a couple plastic screws/inserts under the glove box. Take it off. You can just see two squares of the recirc-intake just to the right of the the silver cylinder in the below pic. That's where you need to be looking.

Thanks guys i couldnt get much out of the superduty forum, i found the problem, i eventually found the blend door and it was clear so i went straight to the source. Pulled the squirrel cage motor from the the firewall side and would nt you know theres a piece of Winston plastic stuck in the blades of the cage.
So what we have learned is quit smoking and if you dont, dont throw the celephane on the floor board, and if you ever hear the baseball card in your spoke sound pull the motor from the housing and youll probably find whatever it is spinning around in there. THX GENTS
