The floor of the 65 slopes down the closer you get to the door, meaning the floor is not flat like most newer cars with bucket seats. The Ford bench seat deals with this slope by having the outer mounting brackets bolt through the floor several inches closer to the center of the truck, instead of right at the outer edge of the seat closer to the door sill.
With a set of bucket seats, it is harder to do this as the seat tracks and bolt holes are generally set closer at the outer edge of each seat.
How did the Ranger package buckets mount? Did they have some type of bracket or riser on the outer edge or were the tracks closer to the center of the truck?
Has anyone used or fabricated some type of riser or bracket that mounts to the sloping floor and allows you to mount through the bracket of a non factory bucket seat? If so, pictures would be appreciated.

The 1965/66 Ranger bucket seats are the same as 1965/66 Mustang, as are the seat tracks. There were two special (truck only) brackets per seat that bolted to the seat tracks, and then bolted to the floor. These brackets raised and leveled the seats.

I think I heard these brackets may be available repro. Email my pal Wayne, as he has become the resident expert on Ranger buckets having bought a few brackets and converted a couple of trucks. wlcakosko at aol dot com.
Thanks guys. I will drop him a line about the brackets. I was thinking of have a set welded up, but they would be unique to any later model seats I was going to use. Maybe the stock Ranger mounts would work.
