Factory Tech VB

Just orderd a factory tech vb, just wondering if the install is as easy as it sounds. Having never had my tranny opened up before , I am a little nervous. Looks like a direct bolt in as far as I can tell. How much tranny fluid do I need? going to do a complete flush, all lines and tc of course. I will post after I install it, late next week I guess.

I don't know about the FTVB. Look at Guzzle's page: http://guzzle.rbmicro.com/bts.html

It might vary because that is for the BTS VB and there is a plate that Brian will instruct you on what to drill to change the shift firmness. Somebody with the FTVB will chime in.

How do you plan to do the flush? If it were me I would also do the transfer case if you have 4X4. http://guzzle.rbmicro.com/transfer.htmlSo, plan for 20 quarts of fluid altogether. Transfer case takes 2 quarts. You will have excess but that is better than too little. I would drain the pan since you are there already, unbolt the lines and blow them clean and also drain the TC. You will have to rotate the TC till you can see the bolt at the bottom, assuming you have one. Then drain that too.

So the FTVB doesn't have the shift plate then?

Nice, thanks guys. Looks fairly straightforward. Appreciate the help, as usual.
