Removing Door Panels
Quick question for you experts out there.

How in the heck do I get the drivers side door panel off without breaking something?

Get yourself an upholstery clip remover.
It is like a flat screwdriver with a crook in it for prying the clips out of their holes.

Ford used two types door panel clips.
White plastic and Brown cross-legged wire clips.
If you want I can post a pic of them.

remember to remove the armrest first
the clips, expecially the metal ones with some rust, are very tight and some my even break or deform
if you want it tight when re-installing, get new ones
they also have a piece of foam rubber to prevent rattles that may have disappeared on each clip
